Product Details
PRODUCT OVERVIEW: Rugged yet lightweight aluminum exit sign rated for damp location. AC-only and battery backup cavity lit LED exit signs feature classic design, even illumination, low power consumption, long service life and rugged aluminum construction.
CONSTRUCTION: ALDX Series exits are constructed of heavy duty aluminum finished in white or black baked-on powder paint providing scratch and corrosion resistance.
ILLUMINATION: Light Source: Exit face illumination is provided by a special high intensity indirect red or green LED panel.
Letter brightness and illumination uniformity exceed UL requirements.
LED Lamp Life: 25 years (estimated average)

Letter Size: 6” letters with 3/4” stroke
Directional Indicators: Infield applicable chevron arrows sized to meet UL visibility requirements.
BATTERY TECHNOLOGY: ALDX uses Nickel Cadmium maintenance free battery designed to provide many years of dependable service. Lead Calcium maintenance free battery is also an option.
INSTALLATION: Wall Mounting: Backplates on single face models are supplied with knockouts for attachment to wall surfaces and standard 31/2” and 4” electrical boxes.
Ceiling/End Mounting: Mounting canopies are provided for attachment to standard 31/2” and 4” electrical boxes in ceiling or end mount applications.
ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS: ALDX series with Nickel Cadmium batteries utilizes a fully automatic, temperature compensating, constant current charger. ALDX with Lead Calcium batteries utilizes a fully automatic, temperature compensating, variable rate charger.
Utility Input: 120/277VAC, 60 Hz.
Temperature Range: 68ºF to 86ºF (20ºC to 30ºC)
Models supplied with damp location option operate from 50ºF to 104ºF (10ºC to 40ºC)

Safety Circuitry:
AC Lockout: Prevents battery discharge prior to initial unit power-up saving installation time.
