If you are looking for an electrical sign, we recommend edge-lit signs that have a clear glass-like panel. Edge-lits convey high aesthetic value and are available in multiple finishes for surface mount models. Non-electrical signs are also a great choice for hotels because they do not require wiring or bulbs and are simple to install. Hotels are required to have low-level sign installations: exit signs that are low-profile and placed at the bottom of hallways about 18" off the floor and near the bottom of doors. In a fire as smoke rises, low-level signs are more likely to be seen in smoke filled conditions. Photoluminescent signs and LEC signs are great low level choices because of the low energy requirements and slim construction.
