PRODUCT OVERVIEW: The AEL Series Edge Lit Exit Signs have been developed with style, ease of installation, and dependability in mind. Utilizing high-output indirect LED technology, the AEL provides a recessed or surface mounted edge-lit EXIT sign with excellent light distribution. The AEL series can be wall/ceiling recessed, or surface mounted. End mount configurations are also available. The AEL Series features universal infield applicable chevron arrows. The AEL Series is available in single and double face models. Operates using either 120 or 277v AC power. Nickel-Cadmium battery backup option provides a minimum 90 minutes of emergency operation. The AEL Series with battery backup comes with a LED indicated push-to-test button. Options include: auto-test, special wording, and 120-minute emergency battery operation.

CONSTRUCTION: The AEL Series Edge Lit Exit Sign housing is constructed of a 20 gauge steel extrusion finished in a choice of white, bronze, or brushed aluminum finishes. All models utilize acrylic exit panels with etched letter edges for superior visibility. Double face model panels are supplied with a mirrored Mylar background and single face model panels available with clear, white, or Mylar background.

ILLUMINATION: High output red or green LEDs provide superior brightness and uniformity with an expected service life of 8-10 years. Energy consumption of less than 3 watts for AC only or less than 5 watts for battery backup units.

BATTERY TECHNOLOGY: The AEL Series uses premium grade, sealed maintenance free nickel-cadmium battery to provide many years of dependable service. The battery backup provides a minimum 90 minutes of emergency operation.

INSTALLATION: Surface mounting is suitable for wall, ceiling, and surface installation. Recessed mount is suitable for wall and ceiling installation.
