PRODUCT OVERVIEW: The RB6 Series Thermoplastic Emergency Light is a high capacity lighting unit that is easy to install and maintain. Sealed Lead Calcium and Nickel Cadmium battery options allow for multiple of configurations, up to 50 watts. Multiple mounting capabilities make the RB6 a truly universal emergency light. The RB6 features a low profile, push-to-test switch and comes standard with a white finish. Self-diagnostic testing and time delay are some of the many options offered with the RB6. UL 924 Listed.


CONSTRUCTION: Constructed of impact resistant, UL 94 V-0, 5 VA white thermoplastic. Universal J-box mounting pattern, keyhole slots or shelf mounting. Includes a low profile test switch and AC indicator light mounted on the side of unit.


ILLUMINATION: Illumination is accomplished with up to three lamp heads mounted on the top of the unit. A complete offering of Par 36 sealed beam tungsten or halogen lamp heads are available.



BATTERY TECHNOLOGY: Maintenance free, sealed lead calcium battery has an estimated service life of 5 years, and an operating temperature range of 65 F (19 C) to 85 F (30 C). Maintenance free, sealed nickel cadmium battery has an estimated service life of 10 years, and an operating temperature range of 20 F (-7 C) to 95 F (35 C). Batteries supply 90 minutes of emergency power.


INSTALLATION: Provides installation flexibility with its J-box mounting pattern and keyhole slots. Unit can also be shelf-mounted.


ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Charger Type: Lead calcium units utilize a solid-state, fully automatic, voltage regulated charger. Nickel Cadmium units utilize a solid-state, constant voltage charger.
Utility Input: 120/277VAC, 60 Hz.
Temperature Range: 65 F (19 C) to 85 F (30 C) for sealed lead calcium battery. 20 F (-7 C) to 95 F (35 C) for sealed nickel cadmium battery.
Load Transfer: A solid state transfer circuit provides load connection.
Controls: Momentary test switch and LED AC-On indicator light
Safety Circuitry: AC Lockout: Prevents battery discharge prior to initial unit power-up saving installation time.
Low Voltage Battery Disconnect: Protects the battery from being severely damaged by deep discharge during prolonged power failures. Brownout Protection: Automatically switches the unit to emergency mode when utility voltage is reduced to the point at which most fluorescent light fixtures would extinguish.


CODE COMPLIANCE: UL 924 listed, NFPA 101, NEC, BOCA, OSHA and IBC illumination standards. Optional Damp Location listings available.
