PRODUCT OVERVIEW: The SPEL series emergency unit has been designed for durability and dependability. This vandal-resistant emergency unit features a high-strength steel housing & high impact resistant polycarbonate lenses. Fully enclosed lamp heads prevent repositioning by unauthorized persons. The SPEL has been designed with a pulse switching charger. The pulse switching charger offers superior performance and energy efficiency versus conventional constant voltage chargers. Tamper resistant hardware is standard.

CONSTRUCTION: The SPEL series is constructed with a durable 20 gauge steel housing and high impact-resistant lexan polycarbonate lenses that protect the emergency lighting heads. Durable white powder coat finish. External test switch and monitor LED are standard. The SPEL series is normally supplied with two 9w heads, Internally mounted, high output mini reflectors designed to optimize light performance.

BATTERY TECHNOLOGY: The SPEL series is designed with a maintenance free, sealed lead calcium battery that provides a minimum emergency duration of 90 minutes. Recharge time of the battery is twenty-four hours. Nickel-Cadmium batteries are available as an option.

INSTALLATION: The universal mounting pattern stamped into the back of the unit allows for direct mounting to various conduit boxes. Key hole slots and stamped conduit knockouts are supplied standard on the SPEL unit, providing the widest range of options for AC power source connection. Remote lamp loads are connected to the emergency power supply with sturdy magnum terminal connectors. These connectors allow for a large gauge of wire to be used increasing the flexibility of installation.
