PRODUCT OVERVIEW: Rugged VRPEX Series Exits for use in areas of potential abuse. Includes recessed tamperproof hardware and corrosion-resistant polycarbonate wrap-around housing. Chose between LED, incandescent, or fluorescent lamps to illuminate the red or green lettering. The perfect choice in dependability for high abuse, wet and damp locations.

CONSTRUCTION: Clear polycarbonate wraparound cover over 18-gauge steel housing finished in white baked-on powder paint providing scratch and corrosion resistance. Optional black finish is available.

ILLUMINATION: AC Light Source: Illumination in LED lamp models is provided by a special high intensity indirect red or green LED panel. Exit face illumination in incandescent models is provided by two candelabra base 15T6 120 volt, 15 watt incandescent AC lamps. Fluorescent lamp models provide two 7 watt PL style lamps. Letter brightness and illumination uniformity exceed UL requirements in all models. Emergency Light Source: Exit illumination in incandescent and fluorescent models is provided by two 6 volt, 5.4 watt (-25) wedge base incandescent DC lamps. Lamp Life: LED lamp panels - 25 years, Incandescent AC lamps - 2,000 hours, Incandescent DC lamps - 100 hours, Fluorescent AC lamps - 10,000 hours. (estimated averages)

Directional Indicators: Infield applicable chevron arrows sized to meet UL visibility requirements.

BATTERY TECHNOLOGY: Chose between Sealed Lead Calcium, Sealed Pure Lead, or Sealed Nickel Cadmium maintenance free battery, designed to provide many years of dependable service.

INSTALLATION: Mounting: Wall and ceiling mounted exits are designed for installation to wall surfaces by means of four 5/16” mounting holes provided in the enclosure housing. End mount models are provided with a wall bracket into which the exit installs. Wiring: Knockouts are provided on both sides of the enclosure for attachment of surface wiring or conduit.
