Product Details
PRODUCT OVERVIEW: The XWLC Series Exit Sign with Emergency Lights combo unit is a rugged and durable exit sign combo that is suitable for wet, dirty, and dusty areas. The XWLC features a NEMA 4X rated corrosion resistant polycarbonate enclosure that seals out moisture, dust, and other elements. The XWLC features two PAR 36 halogen lamp heads, combined with a sealed lead calcium battery backup that together, provides a minimum 90 minutes of emergency lighting when AC power is lost.
The word EXIT is illuminated by high output, energy efficient red or green LED lamps. The XWLC features back, top, and flush mounting capabilities with lamp heads that can be mounted on the top or the side of the unit. For battery backup models installed in environments where temperatures drop below 32º F, a battery heater will need to be added on to insure functionality in freezing environments. The XWLC features back, top, and flush mounting capabilities. The XWLC can be configured for both single and double sided applications.
CONSTRUCTION: Corrosion resistant NEMA 4X type sealed and gasketed enclosure in industrial gray polycarbonate with clear polycarbonate cover. Energy efficient LEDs are available in red and green. Industrial strength PAR 36 lamp heads are attached and sealed to be wet location rated.
ILLUMINATION: The face of the XWLC is illuminated by special high intensity, indirect red or green LED panels. Letter brightness and illumination uniformity exceed UL requirements. LED lamps last for estimated average 8-10 years. Industrial strength PAR 36 lamp heads provide a minimum 90 minutes of emergency illumination.
EXIT FACE:
Letter Size: 6” letters with 3/4” stroke
Directional Indicators: Infield applicable chevron arrows sized to meet UL visibility requirements.
BATTERY TECHNOLOGY: The XWLC comes standard with a Sealed Lead Calcium maintenance free battery; designed to provide many years of dependable service.
INSTALLATION: Units are designed for wall, top, or back installations surfaces by means of four knockout holes provided in the enclosure housing. Wiring knockouts are provided on both sides of the enclosure for attachment of surface wiring or conduit. Top mount specifies side mounted emergency lamp heads. Side mount specifies top mounted emergency lamp heads.
